Registered Physiotherapist
Ann is our registered physiotherapist working with us for the last 12 years. She graduated from India and started working in Canada in 2007. She strongly believes that patient therapist communication is the strongest key for a successful recovery. In her opinion a good rehabilitation is a team work between the patient and the physiotherapist, where both have to be faithful towards the task assigned.
Ann loves working with all kinds of orthopedic conditions like neck pain, lower back pain , TMJ problems, shoulder pain, knee pain etc. as a result of injury, over use or degenerative changes. She has done a series of continuing education courses on manual therapy, Shockwave, MDT (McKenzie principle) and Mulligan techniques to enhance her knowledge and skills to treat different areas of the body. Along with treating the current injury, Ann also focuses on providing education, tips and exercises to prevent recurrence.
Recently she has found her passion in treating vertigo secondary to BPPV (due to semicircular canal related issues) and is been successfully treating patients with vertigo . Her goal is to continue to improve her knowledge in Vestibular Rehabilitation through advanced courses along with her passion in Orthopedic Physiotherapy.
Outside her working hours, Ann loves to spend time with her family, listening to music and doing crafts.
Maria Dembska
Registered Physiotherapist
I am a licensed physiotherapist resident recently passed PCE written exam. I graduated my Master degree in physiotherapy from the Poznan University of Medical Science in Poland in 2008. After moving to Canada, I began working as a physiotherapy assistance at the private clinics and nursing home. I also successfully completed the Ontario Internationally Educated Physical Therapy Bridging (OIEPB) program at the University of Toronto. I am known for my compassionate and caring personality and bring fun into the workplace. I stay active and positive in my personal life and bring the same energy to my patients. I especially love making a difference in the lives of patients and seeing the impact physical therapy can make to their well-being.
As a true believer in the power of physiotherapy to positively affect patient outcomes, I have more than 8 years of hands-on, practical clinical experience in physiotherapy settings. I’ve done physiotherapy courses like Deep Tissue Massage with soft tissue release techniques, kinesio- taping, McKenzie Therapy, PNF. As a committed life-long learner, I would continue to look for opportunities to advance my knowledge and expertise in treating different area of body.
In my spare, I love spending time with my family and friends, playing board games and travelling.
Karen Petko
Registered Kinesiologist
Karen gained her BAK in at the University of Western Ontario, obtaining an honours Degree in Kinesiology. She began her career as a Kinesiologist with this company at its original location, High Tech Physiotherapy, in 2001. Over the years, she has become a dedicated, focused, hard working integral part of the team.
Her role as a kinesiologist involves designing & implementing exercise programs, designing return to work programs, upper & lower extremity muscle testing, passive muscle stretching, postural exams and administering modalities.
Her passion for health, fitness and an appreciation for life developed through her extensive experience in injury rehabilitation. It has always been her desire to help others.
In her spare time, Karen enjoys travelling, hot yoga and living life with her husband.
Kenneth Leung
Registered Massage Therapist
Kenneth Leung is a Registered Massage Therapist with a passion for helping others feel their best. He received his training at triOS College and graduated with honors, where he learned the various modalities and techniques of massage therapy.
Kenneth takes a personalized approach to each client's unique needs. He believes that massage therapy is an important part of maintaining overall health and wellness, and is committed to helping his clients achieve optimal physical and mental well-being.
With a warm and compassionate demeanor, Kenneth creates a comfortable and relaxing environment for every client. He is dedicated to ongoing education and professional development, and is always looking for ways to improve his skills and knowledge.
In his free time, Kenneth enjoys cooking and traveling. He looks forward to meeting new clients and helping them on their journey to wellness through the power of massage therapy.
Nevenko Jeftic RMT, DOMP
Registered Massage Therapist and Manual Osteopath
Neven is an RMT and Manual Osteopath. He has been treating patients since 2000 and since 2003 he has been a part of the High Tech Physiotherapy team. He enjoys working in a multidisciplinary environment where he can collaborate with other professionals in providing the best care possible for his patients. He focuses on treatment of neck, back and shoulder injuries using a variety of Osteopathic techniques including joint mobilization, muscle energy, trigger point release and visceral manipulation.
Since 2009, Neven has been teaching Pathophysiology at Kikkawa college.
Having client well being and public interest as his priorities, Neven became a Council member on Council of College of Massage Therapists of Ontario (CMTO), as well as member of several committees. While protecting the public interests, he works to increase reputation and the perception of the profession in the public consciousness.
He is proud to be 2nd best tennis player, 3rd best skier and 4th best skater in his family.
